I was so excited to begin this journey with documenting my diet for several reasons. I wanted to keep track of how foods affected me, as well as, gain mass and improve my health. My wife and I had done a lot of research and created our own personalized rotation diet for my health needs and now was the perfect time to put it in action. Since beginning the health challenge, I have seen some major changes. I was able to overcome a lot of fears and insecurities and was less anxious. I went from 156 pounds to 178 pounds- all from healthy eating and exercise. I am now well on my way to my goal weight of 195 pounds! I had not been able to gain weight, or even hold weight for that matter, for several months. I have had a noticeable improvement in my health and have much more energy. I also had a huge goal of getting back on the football field and playing quarterback which I achieved as well. We have had 4 games so far and have won them all! To God be the glory! It was very difficult at times to say no when given the opportunity to have different foods, but it was always worth it. I am so thankful for the opportunity to participate in the health challenge and for all my progress. I will continue on this journey and am a work in progress but I am so thankful for God’s promise in Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.  To continue to follow my journey and to see more of all God is doing, please visit my website at JustinSoultatos.com

This letter was written to thank someone God used significantly in my life, this also serves as my Testimony: Jonathan David Soultatos enjoy Gods grace!

Dear pastor David Landrith,

I’ll start by telling you a little bit about myself. My name is Jonathan David Soultatos and I am from Fort Lauderdale, FL. Raised in a place where living the “American Dream” such as expensive cars, big homes, and all about the latest fashions, these demands controlled my life. I partially regret the fact that I raced through the first part of life in the so-called fast lane. The reason I say partially is because I learned by it. I never understood purpose. Immediately after high school I pursued the business of real estate seeking success. My only motivation at this point in life was health and wealth, later finding there is a much greater purpose to live for than this.

In January 2007, my life was transformed at Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale when I surrendered my life to Christ, understanding that Jesus died for me. I never thought after the things I’ve done in my life that I could possibly ever be forgiven. But reading from JOHN 3:16 I knew that I could be. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This life transformation did not make me a perfect person; I still experience ups and downs. It’s not about wins and losses, but I now experience the confirmation of everlasting life threw God’s grace on me. This offers me purpose to share this love that the Lord shared on me and give God all the glory.

Shortly after this significant event in my life, I went to Nashville, TN (out of all places) on a business trip in search for a better real estate market. When we were on the trip, the broker for our company gave a proposal for our company to move to Nashville and my immediate thought was there is no way I would ever move to Nashville from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. “NO” was my answer. The last day of our research trip we went to a local church in Hendersonville, “Long Hollow”, and the love and compassion I received from the members of the church and you, Pastor Dave, was unexplainable. After I went back home, I found myself in deep thought due to the impact you and the Church body made on me. I thought to myself, “You know? If there is nothing else I like about Nashville if I were to move there, I have a great church to be a part of like Long Hollow everything else will come together. Thank you pastor David for this impact that God used you to make on me.

After prayer, preparation and patience about the move I took this step of faith and found myself living in Nashville by March 2007. My life continues to change and my career changed from real estate to the medical field at a surgery center. I became debt free by my second year in Tennessee (All the glory goes to God!) And I also have been a part of two third-world medical mission trips to Haiti. Also many church retreats, I have learned the more intimate and dynamic relationship the Holy Spirit builds through me with Jesus. The more I’m blessed the more opportunities I have to bless others.

I write this letter to you to not only thank you Pastor Dave, but explain why I selected you as being representative of an ideal leader in the 21st century. There are many things I can say, but I’ll start by saying I love the fact that you address sensitive topics head on and how you are a strong leader for men’s groups. You not only express the fact that you are learning with us, but you remind us repeatedly that your ultimate answer always comes from the truth of the Holy Bible.

The most significant thing about you to me is how you impact people by not only what you say, but by what you do. For example, you come and worship along with us in services and events before you deliver your message. You connect one on one with others like me and educate people how to join the church. Your Spiritual growth is clear by the way you teach others in small groups. You serve by giving

freely of your time in events and church projects. You go where you feel called, from local ministry at Long Hollow which impacts our community, to third world missions that impacts the world around us.

As you are used to make a significant impact in the 21st century, know that you are always in my prayers. The truth that I have and the only one I need to leave as a legacy behind is that success is not about the American dream; it’s not about health or wealth. It’s not about me at all. It’s only about the love of Jesus Christ and what He has done for us. My lifetime goal is to share this truth until the whole world hears. Pastor David Landrith, thank you for setting this example and living this legacy!

I have known Tony since I was a teenager. It is amazing the transformation God has done in both of our lives over the years. After getting back in touch with each other, after some time, Tony was the first person to visit me at the hospital and pray over me and declare my healing was done in Jesus name. We began to talk regularly and learned all that God had been doing in each other’s life. Tony was such a huge encouragement to me and helped me through many days. I am so proud to have him not only as my brother in Christ, but also as my very good friend. Along my journey I created a journal full of healing verses. Whenever I was down or just needed a good word, I would ask my wife to “pick a number” and we would then read the verse that was written next to that number. We now do this daily and carry that verse with us throughout the day and would like to share them with you. Check back everyday to see that day’s healing verse and be blessed!

Homeless Mission

Isaiah 58 tells us what God wants us to do and then promises to hear us, answer us, and bless us. We have begun a mission to be obedient to Him and to help His people whom He loves so much. We have a desire to help the homeless and those in need in the downtown Nashville, TN area. We will be gathering all kinds of items to take down and pass out at the shelters.  We are in need of any and all items you can spare for the Kingdom, including: clothes, shoes, blankets, sheets, toiletries, school supplies, etc. Please join us in helping the less fortunate. Matthew 25:40 says, “And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’

So, on Thursday, 3/8/2012, I received a call from my brother asking me to play flag football on Sunday, 3/11/2012, at 1:30 and 3:30pm. He asked me to play quarterback because the quarterback was going to be out of town. What my brother did not know was that on top of what I already have been going through with my healing , I had just pulled my muscle  in my leg and hurt my ankle. I was in so much pain that I was hobbling around in my house. I told my brother that I was not sure if I would be able to play.In the past I have had numerous hamstring injuries and have always played through them, but this injury was too much to bare. I got off the phone and I was very upset because after over a year and a half of being sick I saw this as an opportunity to break more fears and enjoy a day of  a game I dearly love. For about 20 minutes I could not see why this was happening to me, seeing I was still dealing with a number of symptoms, and started thinking maybe it was just not right timing. My wife assured me that she believed it was the right time because God clearly set this up for me to play again and it was still 3 days away- God only needs a moment to heal. So after my ranting and raving , we did what the Bible said in Matthew 18:19,  “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. We agreed in prayer and believed and let it go. Now the countdown was on. When I prayed to God I told Him that if  He would do this for me and heal that injury I would take it as a sign that I was ready to play and that it would increase my faith to a new level! So it was on Friday morning ( the very next day) I woke up and started to walk and I could tell their was no pain. I walked up and down the stairs and just start praying- God is this for real? And, sure enough, it was! About half way through the day I told my wife and she looked at me and said, ” YES! I knew that you would be healed and playing this Sunday-it’s your time!”

Sunday was here and I grabbed my cleats for the first time in over one and 1/2 years and made my way out to the field. I started throwing and felt  good but still very off-balance and, once again, immediately started praying because I know the enemy has no power over me . My brothers team got there and I started to throw and we all started working together. I felt better and better and before you know it , it was game time! As our captain went out for the coin flip I had noticed him coming back saying we had no game and that the other team didn’t show. As I heard that I went up to the referee and he said, ” We have a 3:30 game on this field,” and I said,” I know, do you know who we play?”  So he looked at me and told me that we were playing the best team in Nashville and be ready. I didn’t know how to take it. Thoughts started racing through my head , my first game back and we are playing a giant! I went up to my wife and told her and without a blink of an eye she said, ” How did David’s odds look up against Goliath? David wasn’t afraid and neither should you be because the same God that David knew had him, has you too. Who won that battle?” From that second forward the undefeated team that we were playing didn’t seem so big and all the fears had dropped. I had believed that we were going to play and play good.

Without giving a play by play scenario the final verdict came to a very close loss  34 to 25. Not something  to hold our head down about seeing that they were a traveling tournament team that had been playing together for years! Well, the last thing I want to say is THANK YOU JESUS for once again showing me your faithfulness and even though I didn’t see that I would be able to play, that’s why we trust in Him  like He says, ” that we walk by faith and NOT BY SIGHT”, I didn’t fear and played great! The only thing I didn’t ask was the victory, but next time I have learned to ask for all things and to believe  for them all to come to pass and THEY WILL. Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it , and it WILL be yours.

God is so faithful, trust in Him alone everyday! It never matters what the enemy does to try and distract us by how things look or feel, they are all lies to try and keep us from the truth which is that God wants only the best for us and is working all things out for our good and giving us our hearts desire.

Exercising on a re-bounder, also known as a trampoline, is extremely beneficial. In this video I explain just a small portion of all that is to be gained from using a re-bounder. This is a very simple exercise that everyone can do and one I highly recommend. It may surprise you just how much you are working out and improving with only a few easy moments a day. Enjoy!
